4 FUNDAMENTOS PARA APLICAR METODOLOGIAS INTERACTIVAS

¿Son o no son efectivas las metodologías interactivas?  Les comparto algunas ideas que tomé desde este interesante blog. 

 He estudiado básicamente : Flipped Classroom, el Just in Time Teaching y el modelo Peer Instruction los cuales son posibles de implementar en clases presenciales. Como me interesa el aprendizaje online, sigo investigando alternativas exitosas en este tipo de metodologías. 

La clase invertida, tiene como antecesores directos  los modelos de Peer Instruction de Eric Mazur (Harvard), o el modelo Just in Time Teaching, que se ha puesto en práctica en programas como SCALE UP. (área salud)

Detallo algunas ideas que se recogen ideas claves para fundamentar su aplicación y efectividad:

1.-La atención es un recurso limitado. 

Nuestro alumnado adolescente tiene un límite temporal de atención de entre doce y quince minutos. 

¿Cómo abordo esta realidad?
  • Usa un vídeo, lectura, podcast, para explicar la parte más teórica. 
  • Comprueba las ideas previas del alumnado
  •  Dedica el tiempo de clase presencial, para trabajar con el Aprendizaje Cooperativo, realizar un proyecto, tarea.
2.-Debemos partir de las ideas previas de nuestro alumnos.
Uno de los problemas fundamentales en educación es que en el proceso de aprendizaje se parten de ideas preconcebidas o malentendidos. Si esas lagunas de desinformación no se detectan a tiempo pueden mantenerse durante años.

¿Cómo abordo esta realidad?

  • Detecta ideas  previas, con herramientas de enriquecimiento de video como Edpuzzle, o “juegos” como Kahoot, o mediante la creación de estructuras de Aprendizaje Cooperativo como los cuestionarios de elaboración por niveles de dificultad. 

Detecta el nivel en que están tus estudiantes para partir tu clase desde ahí. 

3.- El Flipped Classroom nos permite una mayor individualización del aprendizaje, pese a que varios de sus procesos se trabajan en forma grupal.

¿Cómo abordo esta realidad?

  • Promueve el trabajo colaborativo pero combina con instancias de trabajo individual. De esta manera los alumnos pueden comprobar por si mismos sus capacidades.

4º Permite ir más acorde a los diferentes ritmos de aprendizaje, y a la neuro-diversidad.

  • Cada cerebro es único y tiene sus propios ritmos, de modo que debemos aportar herramientas o estrategias que permitan revisar varias veces la información de clase, lo que redunda en la posibilidad de incidir en procesos de repetición y revisión, facilitando así el aprendizaje.
